West Warwick edges Warwick PAL, 5-3!
Led by solid pitching and timely hitting, West Warwick (6-2-1) came from behind to edge Warwick PAL, 5-3.
Zack Lawrence (left) and Mason Hunt (right) combine for four of West Warwick’s seven hits. Lawrence (2/3, one run) and Hunt (2/4, one run and one rbi) each had a double.
Logan Dean, who allowed just three earned runs, struck out six batters in four innings of work. Hunt, who earned the win, pitched two innings of one hit relief. Anthony Burt, who struck out three batters in the seventh inning, picked up the save.
Warwick’s Jack Colvin, who struck out six batters, allowed only two earned runs in five innings of work.
In addition to Lawrence and Hunt, WW received support from Josh Pedus (1/3, two runs), Burt (1/3, one double) and Logan Dean (1/3, two rbi’s).
Austin Wheeler and Chris Reid each had two hits for Warwick PAL.
