Flood comes from behind in 6-3 win!

In Rhode Island Connie Mack play, Flood Ford (7-3) came from behind to defeat West Warwick (6-3-1), 6-3.

In the game, which benefited batters and bewildered pitchers, 25 walks were issued. In fact, the two teams combined to throw 289 pitches.

Trailing 3-0 after five innings, Flood rallied for six runs over the last two innings. Drew McCaffrey had a two-run double with two outs to pull within in one run, 3-2, in the sixth.

In the top of the seventh inning, Dylan Poloski singled to tie the game at 3-3. Later in the inning, Yadier Blanco had a two-run single and Drew McCaffrey received a bases loaded walk for a 6-3 lead.

Cam Daley, who was making his first appearance of the season, stranded five West Warwick runners in two scoreless innings of relief to earn the victory.

West Warwick received hits from Zack Lawrence (2/4, one RBI), Nick Andruchow (1/3, one run scored) and Leyton Belanger (1/3). In addition, Anthony Burt had two runs and walked twice.
